The Loud House also suffers this problem too, but that's not the place for that right now.

Basically, I say,

Thundarr The Barbarian > Sailor Moon

Say what you will about Thundarr's plots, characters, and general direction, but at least Thundarr and his party were total badass motherfuckers that would fuck the villain of the week's shit up! And while the storylines weren't anything noteworthy, at least each one was different, unlike Sailor Moon doing the same damn plot each time. I swear, Sailor Moon seems more like a soap opera with action/adventure elements being an afterthought. Sailor Moon might as well have been a drama like Devlin, and let The Centurions, Swat Kats etc. handle the Queen Beryl's and Wisemen's of the world, or better yet, a hentai series! Who wouldn't want to see a Randy West look-a-like double team little Sailor Mercury with a Ed Powers look-a-like? I know I would.

So the lesson is,

Fast pace action/adventure asskicking with no plot and character development > Drama masquerading as a serious action/adventure cartoon

I wonder if the Sailor Moon reboot (Crystal) is better? One positive is that the filler episodes got cut resulting in the villains defeated in less episodes compared to before.

PS - On the bright side,

Sailor Moon > Sky CommandersAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268660459652553228.post-11117689905440408092021-09-24T22:11:41.744-07:002021-09-24T22:11:41.744-07:00"and Sailor Moon's plot was good for a mo..."and Sailor Moon's plot was good for a monster of the week/day before Smallville was even concieved!"

I'd like to have what you are smoking!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268660459652553228.post-10306386167472480662012-03-03T00:25:31.045-08:002012-03-03T00:25:31.045-08:00Bullcrap! Tuxedo Mask was one of the biggest reasons I watched the show (until one vacation in Michigan when I noticed how the Sailor Scouts transformed... but that's barely important). The entire subplot of him being turned evil held me in suspense for quite a while. Dude was a badass with his throwing roses.

Plus, the name Darren has become kinda awesome for me. A guy at my church has that name, and he's pretty cool (it's always nice to hear him sing "I'm Trusting to the Unseen Hand" and "My Cup Has Overflowed," and he makes Corn Hole games as a hobby). His son looks almost exactly like him and is a good friend to my two youngest brothers.

Darren and Tuxedo Mask rock (Zoysight's a dude?) and Sailor Moon's plot was good for a monster of the week/day before Smallville was even concieved!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
